I’m back for today. I had some things in the works and I decided I didn’t like it at all so this is going to be jam-packed with new things I haven’t really shared and this is a really big run on but I ain’t even mad. I think I was just getting used to this whole blogging thing after a two-year hiatus. I’m like Blink182 except not musically inclined at all. Or three dudes for that matter.

I’m just going to throw it out there. I got a new laptop for Christmas. This was amazing and totally unexpected. My brother also got one. I can even have a camera on it so I can do video things if I so wish (but probably not). YEAH. IT WAS INSANE ,YOU GUYS. My mom and dad were all Oprah’s favorite things. I was waiting for the Lexus music to start playing.  You know, because that’s the only thing you give out as a Christmas gift for people you love.  Whoa. Anyways, that was pretty much the reason I haven’t been blogging. Updating this from an iPod is pretty difficult as opposed to an actual computer (I’m still allcapsing one letter at a time). Also, I just got bored and angry because of things that were happening. Totally not blogging material. That’s some twitter shit.

Originally, I was constructing a post about the Bills game I went to. A friend of mine knows Uncle Ralph so her parents receive tickets every year (but somehow I got to attend for free -brag – brag-). We sat in the Time Warner box and her parents sat in their usual owner’s box special people seating. Ohhhh it was so much fun. A BOX. The game was blacked out so it wasn’t on tv and that’s pretty crappy in the first place but on top of that it was a close and rather exciting game. And we lost by a freaking touch down. CJ Spiller got two and he was a beast. I actually went to two games and the first time I went he got a few too. I think he’s telling me he loves me. Yes. So if the Bills get two touch downs you get a free cookie from Subway. I don’t know why Subway is a big deal. I think it tastes like garbage but I still got my free cookie. Because its free…. and a cookie.

Why are the Sabres sucking? Oh, look. They’re actually winning 4-0.

So let me tell you what. Sitting in boxed seating is amazing and if you ever have the chance to be rich and/or take advantage of a friend I would advise you to do so. You get amazing food and top shelf drinks for free. Well, free if you spend $350 a seat but still. I had so many booze choices I got scared and overwhelmed and I’m like, “cranberry/vodka please?” First, they have the main courses and sides out for people to eat during the game. Mushroom stuffed ravioli omg. Then, at half time they bring out fruit and veggies, cookies and cakes and wings. There was a lot. And my friend and I ate a lot. Ha. We also got to meet the anthem singer, Danica (Dani, Danica… totally we rock). She was super adorable and nice and we’re totally bffs now. I first met her when I walked in the bathroom and she was applying last minute makeup touches. Obvs you have to look fab for the [blackout] television. She told me she’s from St. Catherine’s and she has a few cds out. She said she sings anthems around the area. Maybe we’ll see her at a Sabres game too?

I also must mention the bathrooms are super clean and the water comes out hot. It’s like heaven. Bonus, there are no drunk guys trying to rub their drunk cock on you when you’re waiting in line drunk for food. Or just standing around. Drunk. Special people also get special things. Each game they take a picture of an epic moment and somehow they print it onto posters for the boxy people to take home. Naturally, CJ Spiller was the star and I got to take him home. Yay! I also got a free yearbook. I don’t know if everyone gets that for free but I don’t remember it from last game. Oh and they have like 12 tvs made into a super tv that plays every sporting event known to man. Crayyyy.

Annddddd Sabres win 4-2! Aww, a gold helmet. I hope you enjoyed my recap of the Sabres-Washington game.

Can I first say I totally keep forgetting my password for WordPress and I hate this laptop and I miss my old laptop that died? Urgh. Windows. So once again I’m going to remind you that this year has sucked majorly for me for so many reasons I can’t even think straight. So thanks for not telling me to shut up and die. But whatever.

1. The Blogger thingy the Sabres had was the best thing ever. I’m so excited for you ladies and gentlemen that got to attend the first summit. I also love that it was called a summit. It’s like… SUMMIT. It sounds important with important people discussing big, important things. This is most likely why I wasn’t invited. My questions would be like, “So Ted I see Chris Butler was traded. Where his guns not large and defined enough for the organization? Did you want Gerbe to suffer? Is this part of Darcy’s plan? Have Gerbe fend for himself without a best friend? Did Darcy forget to put on his sexy ass trade glasses and accidentally lose him? Do you ask the guys to get haircuts before every picture day?” Or maybe something like, “This is my resume… I’m just going to leave it here… just in case… you know…” Generally my questions would make everyone uncomfortable and awkward. Plus, I would be so terrified and have no idea what to really ask.

2. ALLCAPS. OH MY GOD CHRIS BUTLER IS GONE YOU GUYS. I AM SO SAD. THIS IS ME BEING SAD AND UPSET. BUTTS AND GERBS. WHAT WILL HAPPEN? I WILL NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN. WHEN I MET HIM I LITERALLY WAS IN SHOCK OF HIS HOTTNESS AND HIS LARGE BICEPS I ALMOST COULDN’T SPEAK. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN MY LIFE. HE WAS SO NICE, YOU GUYS! Oh well. He wasn’t the best player, yeah? AND WHAT ABOUT PAUL BYRON THOUGH? HE’S GONE TOO. HE WAS SO LITTLE AND HE WAS PAUL AND WHAT THE HELL ALES KOTALIK REALLY? I guess we have a solid shootout man and my mom has her boyfren back.

3. I’m still kind of loving the fact I accidentally got Rebecca Black to play in the HSBC Arena. That was, for a lack of a better word, epic.

4. Rochester Amerks are back. Hollllaaaaaa. This made me think. The Pegulas are rolling mad deep with cash. Like… they just go around buying things. It’s like a hockey themed episode of Oprah’s favorite things. ”I want our farm team closer. Yes, I would like it back. It suited us.” *throws cash* “Every player back for a reunion on me. No… no Tim Horton is coming. Yes, we developed special zombie powers in a lab. We tested it on Stafford.” *throws cash* “I WANT NEW CARPETS AND DRAPES AND DUVET COVERS WITH OUR LOGO ON IT TOO! AND NEW CARRRRRSSSSS FOR EVERY SABRES FAAAANNNN! ” *throws cash* Shouldn’t he save some money somewhere? This kind of scares me. We fans are so lucky. I’m jealous of us.

5. I’m so excited that the Sabres are back at NU. I love NU and I love the Sabres. I was waiting forever for them to announce that they would be back. The week after they left the school, the coordinator in charge on the NU side had told my friend and I the Sabres re-signed for the next year and it was the earliest they had ever signed. I died a little. And a lot. My roommate and I are awesome people so naturally they would want to be back with awesome people, right? Next week people, next week!

It all started when Phil tweeted about how Sabres fans could send in a song choice for game night. Naturally, my first instinct was to send the Sabres a Britney song (like, duh). There was a  ferocious backlash from the guys so I jokingly RT’d Sabres.com with Rebecca Black. You know, that whack girl singing about how she likes cereal or some shit and can’t find a seat in her friends car even though there are like three people in it. I don’t know I only heard it twice. And the second time was Bob Dylan style.

Meanwhile, I’m browsing Tumblr like a boss while at the same time trying to figure out why guys hate me, what I want to do with my life, how I’m coming up with money for grad school, angry my laptop died, hating the miserable weather and the next move in tetris. Did I mention two job openings I really wanted were scrapped, one place practically burnt themselves to the ground and temporarily closed and another played phone tag  with me for a week but when I finally got ahold of them my phone decided it didn’t want to give me service? Yay! Good times job hunting since NOVEMBER.

So existential thoughts happened when the Sabres fans on Tumblr were are all, “LOL REBECCA BLACK AT THE SABRES GAME!!!1″ I found this to be semi-amusing but didn’t really click to enlarge the screenshot. I laughed at the earlier tweets where I said “haha ‘Friday’ that would be FUNNY” not really getting that I totally made it happen. I looked at my blown up inbox on twitter, completely confused, wondering why people were congratulating me (and “hating” me) for getting Rebecca Black on the playlist. Then, it hit me.

Clearly, seeing as I put “haha” after my RT to the Sabres, they knew it was a joke. Or they are completely Internet stupid… but I doubt it. In my head I see a sweetass Sabre intern who has an amazing sense of humor. To that, I commend you my good sir and/or lady. I didn’t hear the song and didn’t have access to the interwebs until later that night so I totally  missed it. I don’t know when or which part they played so that was sucky but oh well. I have confirmation from several sources it happened so I will take you at your word, Deadspin. If you laughed at this, I love you because I did too.

Go Sabres.

(I just thought of this but Friday is kind of reminicent of Kim Kardashian’s new song. They playin’ my jam. They playin’ my jam. I am unable to put any sort of emotion in my jam.)

[I would like to warn you in advance... The following is all I got from watching that game.]

We sat there chatting nonstop looking up whenever someone scored. And by someone I mean the Islanders. No one likes watching that. Ryan Miller eventually got the boot. He got all cranky and ditched the team like, “I’M GOING TO CAUSE A MOTHERLOVING SCENE TO EXPRESS MY RAGE!” Then all of a sudden Nathan Gerbe was like, “POW! I’M CARRYING THE TEAM TONIGHT BITCHES! I’LL SHOW GOMEZ AND CHARA AND VERSUS TO PICK ON MY HEIGHT LIMITATIONS!” Two goals in 5 seconds! Two!

End game. 5-2 Islanders. Boo.

I would also like to discuss the “situation” with Mike Komisarek. I don’t know the circumstances which lead to this Leaf lifting up a woman and punching her but I’m pretty sure she’s not into that sort of thing. First of all, I love the wording. He “decided” to lift her in the air. Who does that? Second, the article from TMZ says he “caused her to bleed.” How many penalty minutes will he get for that? She’s a girl so maybe game misconduct? Possible suspension for two games?

Puck Daddy makes the hilarious comment that she was the Stanley Cup. Do you think anyone ever punched the Stanley Cup before? I know some weird sh!t goes down when the Cup is around but punching it… it brings the lulz. People do some interesting things when they drink.

Maybe he just wanted to take her on a mustache ride and she refused.

This feels a little strange (a little good too). I missed blogging. I wanted to return for quite some time but after this summer it has been a bit difficult. Also, the Sabres are straight up boring this season (just like the time when I told Gerbs and Butts they were boring and they were all whattt? hahaha I’m funny). I suppose I should start off with my most recent… order of business. I’ll keep it short and withhold details.

Over the summer I met this guy. I wasn’t quite sure about him. I liked him but he was a typical jock, obvious player, and general badassness. I decided against him because of those reasons and aside from that it was an extremely busy summer so I really had little time in the first place. He chased me for a long time… like way long. He would kind of show up places and it was pretty adorable in a not stalker kind of way. I was surprised he still talked to me. Then, after summer when I decided to see him lots of family things happened that were just pretty horrible so… no time again. Obviously, he moved onto someone new which was completely understandable. When they had problems and broke up we started talking again. We were both finally good and so we started hanging out.

We talked for a long time. He was always very honest with me. Dude was kinda messed up really and had been burned a lot. He liked that I understood who he was and thought my quirky, peppy, spacey self was entertaining (Also because his other exes were gross, for real, and I’m not). He genuinely liked me and I could tell for many reasons… one being I was the only person he drunk texted/dialed (oh, they were good). Plus he, yah know, told me all the time.

When we hung out I had known his friend liked him. I questioned countless times whether she would be an issue and he assured me otherwise… and here I am now without him. I don’t want to go into anymore there but it does suck and I am sad. I just miss him. Looking back I suppose I realize he wasn’t right. He didn’t like hockey for one. Wut? I don’t blame either of us. It just didn’t work out. Friend. Oh, the dirty word.

So there is my story.

Let’s talk hockey plz? I really don’t remember most of the game. It was kind of a haze of goals and goodness which cheered me up. It’s only been a couple days since “it” happened but I’ll be okay because I’m awesome.

I will say I am very thrilled with the Nate lately. He was all punchy with Gomez the other night and Chara tonight. Aww yeah and the goals too. Thomas Vanek is also a winner in my book (always with his slapshots… and assists).

Mike Weber also strikes my fancy. Remember how I used to think he wanted to kill me? Well, yeah… still half true. I think he still really wants to hurt someone but it may not be me. Did you see his facial expressions? I need a gif bin for his faces. He must take death glare lessons from the Mills. Speaking of…. WHAT THE MUTHER IS UP, WORD? He’s like not very hot and goal savey this season. And then we have Pommer as well… I hope he didn’t stop believing in teddies and kittens. Can our boys be decent again? Yes, please.

The last couple games have also been crazy with injuries. I mean the Montreal game was just absolutely laughable. I was waiting for the team to drop dead of whooping cough and diphtheria or something. Tonight our boys were starting to drop as well. Not as funny.

Optional title: Sabers, Bret Farve

A bit overhyped if you ask me… there were lots of red shirts and old players at the game but really, I didn’t notice much difference. Or perhaps it was the fact I sat in section 114! Whaaaatttt. It was a whole new world for real. They had a Mexican stand. And like… their own mini Sabres store. I KNOW! It was intense and beautiful and I want to relive that moment.

Rewind. We ate our pre-game meal at Pearl St. which is obvs a must for any Sabres fan. The atmosphere is just intense and it really gets you pumped for the game seeing EVERYONE in hockey jerseys. As we left the building, something felt a little wrong. See, the rooms and I, we are a bit directionally challenged.

Yeah, I’m telling you we got lost walking from Pearl St. to the HSBC. It’s what it is.

We ventured north and not south and then we called my dad. “But I thought you said… weast.” And that my friends is a quote from Patrick Star. What of it? So kids, now I can plainly see the metro and I know we are on. You would think we would have seen a crowd of people heading to the Arena. You would think wrong.

As we made our way to the HSBC and passed the thug lyfe scalpers prodding us about tickets, we headed straight for the bathroom because it was cold and we almost pissed ourselves. We legit had to ask security where our seats were because we were so lickably close to the glass. They were super funny. I miss them.

We got to our seats which were right near the zamboni entrance and realized they were numbered wrong. They were supposed to be “3″ and “4″ but they both said 4. Whatever, they had character. I watched Doug Allen and Ronan taking pics and getting pumped to do their thing. It was quite adorable really. We sat to the left of Carey Price and diagonal to where the camera was facing during the pre-game festivities. I was all, “o hai carey babi.” But not really.

Behind me sat two guys, clearly the season ticket holding types. You just know who they are, you know? They have a thing about them, a swagger perhaps. A “Are you jealous of my seats and regularity? Yes, yes you are” type swagger. Anywho, they kept yelling shit and it was funny. “SPEND SOME MONEYYYY” when B. Thomas walked onto the ice. There was a surprising lack of boos. As expected RJ (the man the myth the legend) got a huge ovation. ‘Cause he’s badass is what.

Favorite. As they spoke of history and nostalgia, they mentioned how this team “helped shape Buffalo culture.” Who are we kidding? They ARE what shaped Buffalo culture. Amen to hockey.

I watched a lot of Vanek, Goose, and Kaleta. They really stood out to me becasue they have so much passion and heart. You can just see their hunger for winning. Jesus Christmas, the Goose is giddy when they play the Sabre Dance music. Tim Connolly looks like crap.

Side Note: Montador is totally Goose’s new hippie disciple. I love it.

Of course, Ryan Miller is always ready for things to go down. His home is the crease and he ain’t leaving unless he wants to punch yo’ face (or is concerned someone got an owie). During the second period, the guys behind me yelled, “MILLER! YOUR NETS OFF. MILLER. YOUR NET. IT’S OFF.” I wanted to hug them for yelling that.

I quite enjoyed the corners. This is like an entirely new world that camera needs to show more of (even though there was a cameraman right there, rite thurr). Welcome to the Haus of Goose. No rules and lots of slashing. Well, okay there are rules but let’s face it, stuff gets real and it’s a free for all.

Observations:

1. Sabretooth is kinda a dick. He’s a straight up pest and it’s quite amusing. I always enjoy watching him at games. He ran up to this old lady in a Montreal sweater and sized her up… then proceeded to flash her. Another time he wiggled his butt and shoved his pits in some guys face. He also gave someone a face wash and tried to steal someone’s wallet. There you go.

2. Hal Gill is a beast.

3. I love Chris Butler but DAYUM. He missed the perfect pass. DID YOU LEARN NOTHING FROM DEV CAMP AT NU?! Too many trips to Wendy’s?

4. I love goals. Goals mean celebrations. Celebrations mean the Gerbs in the middle of a hug party with the Goose. My heart melts.

The weather is frigid today. Only not really it’s still sunny and fairly warm yet the temperature has dropped thirty degrees and the wind picked up like a tornado is about to hit town. No worries, Tuesday the weather calls for mid eighties!

I kept meaning to write about the Bills and Bengals game I attended but just decided against it. So I’ll get at that now. Also, my battery is slowly dying inside. Really it is. I never want to use my poor laptop anymore because I’m afraid it will stop charging. I know I have to get a new battery which will cost a billion dollars and I’d be better off buying a new laptop because I’m due for an upgrade. :( Sorry. Seriously though, charging my laptop is like trying to play Nintendo. I have to shove things in it and move the cord around to get it to charge. I’ll probably start blowing on it but only as a last resort.

Like I was saying, CJ Spiller. I did mention him right? ONID!

My friend bought tickets to the Bills and Bengals game so I immediately said yes when she asked me to attend. How can you go wrong with that gorgeous weather? I mean besides the fact that our team is a total failboat… Also it was kids day which was pretty sweet because I didn’t have to sit near any obnoxious, drunk guys. On the way in this chick had a Manning jersey on and this guy and his friends were taunting her.

Guy 1: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!

Guy 2: THIS IS A BILLS GAME. HE’S NOT EVEN PLAYING!

He raises a valid point. He may be a dunk idiot but… just why?!

During half time my friend and I split $6 nachos (but they were delish $6 nachos!). We were at the end of the line so people had to squeeze by a bit to get around the line. I was having a great time and the game was exciting. Then I forgot about drunk people. That is until every guy that walked by- way too close to my personal space may I add- and drunkenly sniffed my face from behind which is totally creepy and gross. You think we can’t see you but we can… Anyways I bought a souvenir cup that was way overpriced and it was fun.

CJ Spiller is my hero. I’m sorry Beast Mode. You had your chance… a few times. You can redeem yourself but no more off-field antics please. I don’t care how hood you are, you need to step up and focus on doing what you’re paid to do. I mean I got free coffee because of Spiller. What have you done for me? You didn’t even get your own cereal like I begged of you!

I suppose I should mention my friend’s parents are friends with Grandpa Ralph and they get to sit in his box. Yeah… her mom acquired cookies for us with official boxed seating napkins. It was AWESOME! They were delicious. Probably because her mom had to sneak them out and that is forbidden. Woo.

So yeah. Can hockey start now? I have tickets to the October 15th game. I want it now.

I cannot tell you what I watched or what any numbers meant (… mean). I was in the clouds if it were not for the people sitting around me. Don’t even bother asking me the score because I don’t even know. We all joked about my cluelessness. ”Oh, doesn’t A-Rod play for us? No? Oh right, it was Lebron.”  ”A strike? Like you have two tries to knock all the pins down?” Nevertheless it was fun and all relatively new.

First, we need to get this out of the way. The fashion choices were interesting. Some girls were flat out hoochies while other girls clearly dressed themselves in the dark. I chose a happy medium with jean shorts, flip flops and a blue top. Attire was shockingly casual.

Food options were also quite different. People literally sold peanuts and cracker jacks. Who would have guessed… I felt like the vendors were so hostile, yelling at me to buy cotton candy and beer.  I was like calm down button man, I’ll buy your food if you stop yelling at me. There was also lots of ice cream and sprinkles. When I learn the rules, I approve of this sport.

It was disappointing to see so many empty seats for such a wonderful night. I know attendance has dropped a lot and I want to fix this mess. This is my new mission. Go to a Bisons game. There is no hockey. There is no football. Summer is great for baseball. Granted, I left a little early but so did everyone else. My professor said it would be like the biggest comeback ever if they won, a miracle no less. One of the girls with us said if they win we will be so mad… Yeah. Sent this to my professor this morning…

I should mention my friends and I were picked to hold up a Dunkin Donuts sign while playing games from The Price Is Right. We won $25 in coffee for doing nothing. I like this.

My favorite players in order of viewable hotness are as follows:

• Jesus Feliciano (so maybe his name is just fun to say)
• Murphy (oh hells yeah)
• Jacobs (he was fun)

Okay. Baseball is not a very good sport for hot guys ( in my opinion). Hockey is wayyy better and more much more interesting as a sport. The strength and conditioning coach was pretty rad. I think he was actually my favorite…

I was quite entertained by Buster Bison. Oh, his swagger was on for every Jay-Z song. All I know for certain is that any sport that has mascots and staff members dancing over the players heads in front of the stands to Peanut Butter Jelly Time is pretty amazing. I demand that job, full-time. I CAN DO THAT! WHY DOESN’T HOCKEY DO THAT?!

Not going to lie, it was boring as hell. But I enjoyed my time.
