- Speaking of piglets, Corey Perry was suspended four games for maybe (or maybe not) accidentally elbowing a Flyer (yet nothing on Kaleta who is still on injured reserve). Drew Miller was recalled as Perry’s replacement from the Iowa Chops (still cracks me up hearing that name). Baby Ryan Miller leads Iowa in goals. Also played for Portland Pirates. Also plays alongside former Purple Eagle Captain, Matt Caruna. Also… that’s all the WNY connections I could find. Woo!
- Damn. Matt Ellis was on fiiiiire and I’m stoked for him.
- Congratulations to UB!!!! Even though they didn’t win (It’s the Buffalo way…), they earned an impressive comeback and some heavy PR. I mean, how cute were they on the news?!

hm…um…i grew up in WNY and i saw Corey Perry play numerous times in London and couldn’t stand him….(ok that’s not really a connection at all. i’m just happy to see Perry being outed for the chicken that he is…)
Am I that much of a pessimist that I think the Sabres will lose ~5-2 tonight? Or am I just putting up the classic Buffalo defence mechanism?
