At Least The Sabres Won!

The lady purple eagles lost 5-3 on Saturday. Urgh. They played against the hardcore, tailgating New Hampshire fans. I don’t know how they rank in hockey but I’m guessing its pretty high on the list. For one, they actually traveled to Lewiston to watch a women’s game. This one guy (or girl… I’m not sure) kept yelling obnoxiously at our team and the refs. So… as not to be out obnoxious-ed because we don’t stand for that, a few guys decided to yell at the New Hampshire ladies telling them how much they sucked (to put it lightly). They were some big girls too. I think I would have been scared if I were those guys…

Today they lost 5-2. For a minute I thought they would get revenge against New Hampshire when they tied the game 2-2 in the second period. After the opposing team scored two quick goals, they played “Roxanne.” Heh. I never paid attention to the music until the Sabres had the player tunes and I realized they play certain songs for a reason. I know, I’m slow. They do have some good song choices (like after a diving call they play “Kryptonite“).

FYI, Nov 11th the guys play Canisius. It’s definitely a date to mark down on the calendar… as a win. :D

This weekend is alumni weekend as well so there were extra people in attendance (lots of babies everywhere). Even the President went to the hockey games this weekend. Yeah Rev. Joe! You watch that hockey! I love alumni weekend because my classes were canceled and we get to listen to them speak about how they got to where they are. It makes me feel good to know everyone else is in class taking notes and I’m eating lunch with people who met Bob Marley and Bono.
