I feel I should’ve voiced my opinions of Ryan Miller’s contract a tad earlier. I’m sure I could write and site with reliable sources (cannot include Wikipedia) eight pages on why Ryan Miller is an appropriate choice of starting goaltender, how I think his contract is very reasonable (compare and contrast his contract with other Eastern Conference goalies), and bitch and moan about the people who thought he’d leave us all for Detroit. Last week, I planned on asking you (yes, you!) for your Ryan Miller contract thoughts (something I should do more often) but never quite got around to it. I think the Sabre bloggers summed up my thoughts quite beautifully. So, cheers to five more years of brutally honest media bliss!
I hope Pommers doesn’t leave us for Montreal. Oh no’s!

Pommer totally <3’s the US of A more than Canada… ok that might not be true, but he did once say he thought he might spend the rest of his life in the United States. I mean if we had exclusive rights to Buffalo born players we’d have a pretty solid young team. We’d have at least 1 defenseman, 4 or 5 forwards and a goalie prospect. I like these odds, and according to the IIHF Team USA media guide, Buffalo is Pommer’s hometown. Yesss.

Pommer will NEVER leave us – we’re his adopted hometown! Not to mention the fact that our “core” seems insanely close, and I think they want to keep playing together until they’re old and grey (yet I’m sure still attractive).
And we all know that there was a clause in Goose’s contract that states that him and Pommer have to be roomies forever!
