There was also a concert at Dunn Tire Park during the draft party- some Country thang. This guy with a cowboy hat asked if we were going to Dunn Tire. We told him we were attending the Sabres Draft Party (Country music Vs. Sabres… no question!). He seemed disappointed. He really liked Country music I guess. Although, I love Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, Country music isn’t my exactly my fave. Almost everyone from the Metro got off at Dunn Tire Park. I’m serious, everyone except maybe six people. Crazy! I’ve never seen so many cowboy hats. Buffalo was a hoppin’ place downtown last weekend – even more so than usual I should say. I would like to see the numbers: how many went to the hockey and how many went to the country?
A little side track, I feel bad for the Tom Petty concert goers the other night who got rained out, stormed on, and lost power. Fans called into the radio station and said they still had fun! That’s the WNY dedication we love!
The place was packed at HSBC. It was really difficult getting some good pictures, so sorry about the blurred quality and the random people in my pictures!
Hey… free jerseys!

Everything was caged in. And locked. They don’t trust me.

I found a hat in one of the seats and realized it was signed. Like the Good Samaritan Sabre fan that I am, I turned it in to security. I’m pretty sure it was signed by Roy and Vanek (or Miller?). The numbers read “9″ and either “26″ or “30.” Yeah, they’re signatures are that hard to read. They must’ve taken it to get more signatures. Trust me, I was so tempted to take it, but I didn’t. If that was my hat and I waited for days in line, I would be pissed if I lost it. Hopefully, they found it! If not, some lucky employee has a hat waiting for them in guest services…
You’ve been Kaletacised.

I went with a little black a white. Sabres in Traffic?

Trying to drive to the Arena was a bad idea when you forget about Taste of Country. Crazy!
Even though my pictures of the tour didn’t turn out so great, everything was pretty fun.

Taste of Country… that’s it. There were so many people going to that!!!
Yeah, it was different. It’s weird going to the arena with no hockey, let alone ice! I tried to edit out the people in my pictures and have it look somewhat decent.

There was a gazillion people at the arena and I’m not sure I could have waited in that line. Well, maybe if it were Teppo or Kotalik. Yeah, I know I would! But I got a glimpse of Kenedy and Funk. We’re pretty sure it was Kennedy. He looks to be about 12, maybe 10. It’ll be interesting to see him next to the new giant.

“It’ll be interesting to see him next to the new giant.”
It will be adorable.

Trust me, I was so tempted to take it, but I didn’t.
I’m so proud to call you my Sabre Sister! :) Now, if that hat would have been signed by Goose, I might have thought differently – haha ;)
I’m so happy you got a picture of the sticks – that’s one thing I forgot to take a picture of!

It was SO hard not to STEAL!
And I know they’re only hockey sticks but they’re the best hockey sticks…
