Saturday, “multiple sources” were told Marshawn Lynch’s vehicle might have been involved in a hit and run in Buffalo. Whether or not he was involved is another question. Lynch seems like a pretty responsible guy compared to some of the stories we’ve heard of other football players. I know he really loves his mom. Well, if the story ends badly, this runningback will be in so much trouble by mom. Apparently, the lady that was struck was all right and could walk by herself. I hope that everything turns out for the best. Maybe the lady was drunk and not paying attention. It was near Chippewa… and I hope he knows better not to drink and drive. The last thing these guys need is another run in with the law. Ralph Wilson would be pissed. I think. My favorite part of this whole story is that his lawyer is on vacation and will “deal with it” when he gets back, as the (television) news so gracefully worded it. Like I said, I hope he wasn’t involved. Who doesn’t love beast mode?!
Another story, late to write about it, but hey, it’s important. James Hardy issued an apology for his gun incident earlier last month stating it was a “misunderstanding.” He never actually confirmed pulling out the gun which is a little shady. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he apologized to the fans first, mentioned the fact there are younger kids looking up to him, and being drafted is a “privilege.” Bingo. He’s a fast learner. His father says their relationship is just peachy, however, Ed Kilgore says different. Drama.
In the LA Galaxy game, Toronto won 2-0 with the Reds scoring quickly in the first. Almost like the Winter Classic, eh? Fix your injuries, Becks and Landon, your team needs you.
Then, we have the Pens. 2-1 Red Wings with a 3-1 lead in the series. Ouch. I caught Pittsburgh’s only goal by Hossa and the second period. It was an intense game as expected (of what I watched). Too bad, but what’s there to say? Pick it up in game five and don’t let the old timers beat you down. PROTECT THE CHOPS! I didn’t say it before. That’s the only explanation… I suck.
The Wheeling Nailers announced on thursday their zamboni is representing in the Finals at the Mellon Arena as backup zamboni. The Nailers are the Penguins ECHL affiliate. Aww, backup zambonis.

the backup zamboni thing is hilarious!
I hate the Nailers. Their arena is a dump. We spent some time there when I was a big fan of ECHL hockey for a while, and since I was in Dayton they were one of our biggest rivals, just east on I-70.

Yeah, I should. I know, I know! I’m a horrible blogger. I missed it. I really need to get my priorities straight, MYFO & WAC first.

I know I do (second to Paul Posluszny, of course)! I really hope it turns out that he wasn’t driving.

How could you, Sabre Sister?! Chops needs all the help he can get! haha
