A few posts back I talked about future mini two year old hockey stars and their cuteness. Here’s what I meant:

Beach Volleyball was on Comcast this weekend… and so I had to watch it. Volleyball is my favoriiiite (along with hockey). I was pulling for Kerri Walsh in the Sydney Olympics and then in Greece, with Misty May. “Yes!” to Gold Medals, that’s what I say.

I love how they plug their sponsors in volleyball. Hats, Speedos, fake tattoos everywhere and anywhere that you can see on camera. That’s how you advertise. I also love the trash talking between player-player and player-crowd. It’s more intense than you would think.

Walsh joined the broadcasters to announce the matches. The game I watched was Jennings (Walsh’s husband) Lambert (“the Hawaiian Curtain”), Keenan, and Metzger with each game playing to fifteen points for this particular series. Lambert came up an official song for AVP called “We are the AVP.” It’s so funny, some of the lyrics:

“I drank a Michelob Light and then I miss my flight
from New Jersey.
Between my games on Fox
I play my XX Box.
Can I have on for free?”

Highlight: Lambo dig (diving for ball after spike) and I wish I had video of it. But this video of Jennings & Lambo sharing a Valentine’s Day moment is pretty good too.

Teammate love. Aww.

But, I’d like to see Brad [Keenan] win this series. Brad’s my (more) favorite.

Keenan won the game and this means he gets first pick in choosing his partner in crime for Championships. Pick Casey! Pick Casey! Walsh asks who he wants for his partner; he picked Casey. Good choice.

Keenan and Jennings won overall in a sweep. Brad wanted it more. The winner always wants it more.
