Sign up to be a Sabres Insider, it’s grand! Today is the Scotty Bowman Showcase with High School All-stars: Buffalo Vs. Rochester [6pm Juniors; 8pm Seniors]. Tickets and parking free, ya’ll!
Scotty Bowman, of course, used to coach for Montreal (Dryden, Lafleur…)! Scotty […doesn’t know…] also coached and GM-ed for the Sabres.
I don’t know if you saw this on NHL.com, I just want make sure I’m reading this correctly. “Celebrities offering fans a unique perspective of their favorite team’s quest for the Stanley Cup include: Lauren Conrad…” You know, LC from “The Hills,” that reality show on MTV.
WHAT? Ahh well. We all have our opinions and it should be interesting to hear what these peeps have to say. Good for the NHL I suppose, having celebs to gain the approval of the high school brats younger crowds.
Is MTV secretly reading my blog? Why this sudden interest in hockey?
Moving on, My friend emailed me this quiz a few days ago. It’s kind of predictable and so dumb; you know you want to take it.

eeeeeek MTV scares the crap outta me. I can’t remember the last time I watched it. There was a time when they showed videos and that was great. I even fell into the TRL for a few whiles back in high school. (damn I’m old!) but yeah.. it’s all crap crap and more useless crap.
Plus I’m not into ANY of the music that MTV plays so it’s not worth bothering. I listen to country (yeah, it’s true) and older but not old rock- collective soul, smashing pumpkins, better than ezra, etc and some of the bands that could be rock or pop depending on who you are- matchbox 20, counting crows, goo goo dolls (yay Buffalo).. etc. but I don’t know the last time ANY of them were on MTV.
okay enough ranting.. is it September and time for Sabres hockey again yet?!

hahaha it got very strange thats for sure.
The Goo’s have some good songs but their not my favorite. I think I just like them because they’re from here and we’re supposed to like them. I heard they put on a good live show.

hehehee that’s awsome.
Their live shows are a lot of fun. IN fact, the Goos were the 2nd concert I ever went to (back in 1999) I have since seen them twice more- 2 summers ago with the Counting Crows, an excellent show, and last summer with Lifehouse. It’s just a good time with some fun music. I like the Goos because their songs are fun and catchy and decent but they don’t take themselves too seriously- and they DON”T WHINE! (like so much of current music, it drives me craaaaazy!) Plus Johnny’s voice is just so damn sexy. (I could do without Robby’s token 3 songs per album but eh.. it is what it is)

“and they DON”T WHINE!”
Worrrd. Mariah Carey. :D
I’ve never seen them. That will be on my “to do” list. And… going to the Catwalk For Charity next year when I turn 21. Hehe.
